School exercise inspired by the poem:
Tête de Faune
Among the leaves, a green casket flecked with gold,
Among uncertain leaves and flowers,
Of splendid flowers where the kiss lies sleeping,
Alive, breaking through the exquisite embroidery,
A startled faun reveals his two eyes
And bites the red flowers with his white teeth.
Brown and bloodied like an old wine,
His lip bursts into laughter beneath the branches.
And when he has fled - like a squirrel -
His laughter still trembles on every leaf,
And frightened by a bullfinch, one sees
The golden Kiss of the Wood, gathering itself.
Arthur Rimbaud, 1871.

Arthur Rimbaud, 1871.
